Essay 2-02a: My Language Learning Experience

I think it is very important for us to communicate with each other. There are many kinds of languages all over the world. I have learned Japanese, English and Spanish. It is difficult for me to learn different languages. Because I can’t give expression to my thoughts well. I also think it is difficult even Japanese. But nevertheless it is wonderful and interesting for me to the different language. I like to come in contact with a lot of various people. So I want to learn them and more contact with various people in the world. I especially want to more learn English because I like English very much. It has some crucial stage. So I will tell you about my English learning experience now.

First, I will you tell you about the starting point. I have learned English since I was a first year student at junior high school. But to the tell truth, I dislike English the best of all the subjects then. Because it was for the first time and difficult for me to understand. So I didn’t like the English class. Every time I took the test, my grades in English were the worst. So I decided to go to cram school when I was a second year student. I studied hard particularly English in the cram school. And I could gradually understand and it has grown on me. When I noted it, I was good at English the best of all the subjects. Then I studied more hard for the entrance examination and entered a high school.

Next, I will tell you about my English learning experience of high school. I entered general school and there were four courses. My course was information. It was what is called a course to go to a higher school at the high school. Therefore I had a lot of classes of PC or calculator but I like English the best of all. I especially liked oral communication. It was interesting. I also sometimes talked with Assistant Language Teacher when the clean hours. I also studied English in extracurricular class every day. The English teacher was also taught me on one to one basis when I was third year student. The teacher gave me some pieces advice and I took her advice to develop my English skills. I was poor at Listening. So I borrowed workbook and I practiced listening comprehension test every night. But I still it unconquerable.

Finally, I am majoring in English now. In this course, we learn four skills closely. For example, Writing, Listening, Reading and Speaking. Beside we learn English paper or English literature too. I’m interested in them. I have a lot of thing about English, so I want to learn various fields. I also studied Spanish last year. It was for the first time but it was very interesting for me. I especially liked conversation because Spanish is the pronunciation peculiar and interesting. But I want to speak English fluently the best now because I am poor at speaking. I think that person who speaks English fluently is attractive and cool. So I want to do my best too.

As you can see, this is my learning language experience until now. There is now through these past experiences. So I am happy. Like this, I think that learning experience is difficult but it very important for us. I want to more study English from now on. And I want to make friends with foreigner and know about other culture. In the future, I want to teach English to children. English is very interesting, so I want everyone to like it.

My favorite animal

My favorite animal is cat. I especially like kitten because it is so cute. When I look the cat, I become crazy about the prettiness. Now, I want to have a pet because I think that it is a healing. And I want to have the kitten as a pet. But I live in the dormitory and my family occupies the apartment, so we couldn’t have a pet as the cat. But I’ve had some pet before. For example, cat, goldfish, turtle and so on. When I was a child, I lived in my grandmother’s house. It is a solitary house and so large. Therefore, my family had a cat. I remember that I made a pet of the cat. I don’t have a pet since then. So I want to live a condominium where pets are allowed or a solitary in the future.

My favorite place

My favorite place is the KGU library. I always go to the library to study. When I went to there for the first time, I was so surprised because I’ve never seen such the library. The facility of a library is so wonderful. There are many books, desks, personal computers, own rooms and so on. I often use them to do my homework and study English. The library is so large and comfortable for me. My favorite space is the desk where we are free to use a notebook computer in the first floor. But in fact, I’ve never used the desk and notebook computer until I am second years. When I study there, I can very concentrate every time. I also like Av corner. I sometimes watch a DVD with my friends for a change. But I don’t have any such time now. Anyway, the library is wonderful environment to study. I want to more utilize from now on.

Surprise and...!!★

Today, I had three classes. After the 4th period, my cell phone was ringing. But I didn’t note it then, so I called back later. And I was really surprised to call back because it was teacher who was in charge of my high school days. She is an English teacher. I want to be an English teacher so she is my dreams. When I was in the third year in high school, I was taught by her on a one to one basis for examination study. I have many precious memories of my high school days something else. The memories recurred to me then. So I will tell you about my high school and these precious days.

First, my old high school is Nankan. The school was very small and by surround by many mountains. I wanted to study in joyfull and go amusement arcade after school. However there was no playground like downtown. But there is an Okonomiyaki shop so we haunted there.

Next, there were about 180 students. The school wasn’t school for enter a college. The percentage of students who advance to higher education was very low. All most students were an applicant for get a job. But I chose to go to a higher school because I wanted to be a junior high school teacher. I also decided to take the National Center Test for University Admission. Therefore I took extracurricular classes after school every day. But I felt that the classes were not high enough to attend a university. And I thought that must study hard as quickly as possible to go to a higher school. So I also was taught by some teachers on a one to one basis in the teacher’s room until nine since I was a second years in the high school. All teachers were very kind to me. Sometimes I gave some cake and coffee by the teacher. In spare moments from the study, I ate the cake and often talked with the teachers. I especially liked the Japanese teacher, English teacher, career teacher and Vice principal. The vice principal was very funny and kind. The student who took a practice examination was only three, so he had given us a cream puff which bought at Seven Eleven.

Like this, the relationship between teacher and student was very close. At first I didn’t like small school, but I really liked it. I’m proud of my old school now.

After I called her for a minute, I took 5th period. The class was teaching course. It is difficult for me and I felt my lack of experience to English then. But thanks to have called her, I was encouraged and regained my balance like same that time. In the future, I want to translate dreams into reality. But I was lazy recently so I thought about it today. In order to come true it, I will do my best from now on!! Also I’m going to go the high school next spring vacation. So I’m looking forward to coming then.

Last summer, I was working the pool with my friends. Then we were taught emergency relief operation by him. He was the focus of our attention because he is so cool. One day, I had a chance to talk him. So I talked with him about my dream. And he said “the effort never betray me”. I was moved by his words and happy. He must be strived for his the dream. Finally, I’m happy that I entered this university. But I am lacking of efforts now. So I get a grip on myself again, I have to study. I want to keep in mind that word from now on.

BR 2-04: The Little Giraffe

I read “The Little Giraffe”. This story is about desertification. The main character is a giraffe and a rhino. They are best friend. They lived in East Africa. They were very, very hungry every day. Because there was no food anywhere. The sun was hot and the earth was dry. It was big problem for them to live.

Now, I learn about environment in class. I think the desertification is a severely problem for us. The food is indispensable for all living thing. And it is impossible to live without eating. The global warming also caused some problems. A warm weather is one of the problems. This summer was extraordinary weather. I like summer but it was too hot. This winter also is too cold. I like event of winter but I am poor at too cold. Winter tend to indoor. But I want to overcome a cold.

My favorite flower

My favorite flower is cherry. The cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan. It is so beautiful and I have precious past memory. I like the season because it has many encounters. I think it is very important for us. When I see the cherry tree, I feel happy. I also remember my high school days. There are many cherry trees in the playground. My high school teacher did a picnic under the cherry blossoms to enhance friendship. Every year, I go out to see the cherry blossoms with my friends. Of course, I went out to enjoy the cherry blossoms this spring. I had very good time then. So I’m looking forward to seeing the cherry blossom next spring too. I have never seen them at Kumamoto castle. So I want to go there next time.

BR 2-03: The Hare and The Tortoise

I read “The Hare and the Tortoise”. This story is one of Aesop’s Fables. I like the kinds of book because it’s very interesting. So I am going to introduce about this story. The main character is the Hare and the Tortoise. And this story is about their race.

First, Harry Hare loved running more than anything in the world. Everyone said he was the fastest hare around maybe the fastest hare in history. Harry trained extra for the race. Next, Tom Tortoise didn’t seem to be training at all. Finally, in the race, Harry was very tired so he had plenty of time to sit down for a while. He would still win the race easily. Meanwhile, Tom Tortoise was slowly making his way along the course. As a result, Tom Tortoise had won.

After I finished reading the book, I thought security is the greatest enemy. Harry Hare surely is the fastest. But like this, the fastest Hare is not winner. This applies to our life. I think there is possibility that everyone will succeed. The important thing is to stay to the end of the race. So I want to try without giving up to the last.

My favorite sport to watch

My favorite sport to watch is volleyball. When I was a junior high school and high school, I belong to badminton club. So I have never played the volleyball when I had physical education. But I liked to watch the volleyball game very much because it is very interesting. In the break time came, I gazed in wonder at the volleyball game. I also like to watch Olympic Game on TV. The volleyball game excited me every time. My favorite the volleyball player is Miyuki Takahashi and Yoshie Takeshita. But Miyuki Takahashi retired player. Yoshie Takeshita is a setter. She is very small but really good it and strong. She also is famous for it all over the world. One of my junior high school teacher is her friend. When I heard it at first, I was surprised. But I knew about her old school was near to my home. I have seen her on TV but not in the flash. So I want to see her once.

My favorite dish is an omelet containing fried rice. Because I think the dish is easy to eat and so delicious. By the way, do you know “OMURAISU TEI”? It is a specialty store of the omelet containing fried rice. I sometimes go there with my friends. There are many kinds of the special menu. Also, there are many the sauces. For example, demi glace sauce, tomato sauce, cream, ketchup, black ketchup, curry and so on. I like them so I cannot chose the best. But it may be an improper expression, I like demi glace sauce and black ketchup. I think that the black ketchup is better than normal ketchup. When I was a junior high school student, I tried it for the first time. Then I like it very much. When I am at home, I sometimes make the dish for lunch. It is easy so everyone can easily make it.

Essay 2-01b: The dormitory is my second home☆

My favorite place is a dormitory. The dormitory is my second home. I entered the dormitory last year. When I came here for the first time, I felt lonely. Because I didn’t have any acquaintance and anxiety filled my heart. But on the night, I made friends with Asaki. She lived next door to me. I also made friends with Wakana, Kaori, Minami and so on. Their college differs from me. But I was glad to made friends with them. Thanks to my friends, my dormitory life became really fun. But to be honest, I sometime feel lonely. When I am awfully tired, I want to return to my home. But I think that dormitory has some advantages. The dormitory is quite comfortable to live in so I like it very much. Downtown is near to the dormitory, so I often go shopping with my friend on the weekend. We also go there on foot. The dormitory has curfew. Doors are closed at 11 p.m. So we must get back before the curfew. I think that the time is not time to close the gate. But there are some good points. So I will introduce about them.

First, I will tell you about the frame of the dormitory. It is a three storied house. My room is on the third floor and has a fine view. There is a tennis court near my room. The member practice tennis every day. I sometimes woke up to hear their cheer. There is a dining room in the first floor. The room is a big because there are many people in the house. The room is furnished a big TV. There is a saloon in the second floor. The room is furnished a TV and air conditioner. We are free to use the room. I often watched a TV with my friend. It is a comfortable room. There is a washing room in the third floor. There are six washing machines and three dryer. I always wash clothes before I go to school. If it will rain, I use the dryer. So it is very convenient.

Next, I like my room very much because the room is furnished. For example, a desk, a chair, prefabricated bath, bed and a luggage rack. When I entered the dormitory, I bought a small refrigerator because it especially is necessity to cool a drink. I also bought CD component. I always listen to music on it. I like Japanese pop. For example, HY, Every Little Thing, May’s, Hamasaki Ayumi, Tiara, Funky Monkey Babys and so on. I like really listening to music, so I like the time the best. Desk and luggage rack is big. It is convenient. But to be honest, I have a space which I don’t like. It is prefabricated bath. I like to relax in a bath. But I couldn’t it, because the space is small. So I want to return home at times. But I like my room besides it and so comfortable room.

Finally, I spend free time watching TV in the saloon. There are some newspapers and books. Also there is a sofa and desk. I sit on the sofa and I always watch a TV with my friends. Especially, we watch a variety program. I feel more interesting by watching with my friends. I sometime do my homework there. Before I have examination, I study for the test with my friends. I can see my friends easily so I am happy. Like this, I am enjoying free time in the room.

In addition, the dormitory is so clean because the matron always cleans the washing room and corridors. Once three months, we share the job of cleaning up. I scrub the floor with clear. I think that it is important thing. The dormitory is a public facility so I want to keep it clean.

BR 2-02: Party Fun

I read “Party Fun”. When I found the book, the illustration of chocolate cake caught my eye. I like chocolate and cake. So it looks very delicious. This book is about birthday party. There are two customs. First is to eat a birthday cake on the birthday. Next is to give a birthday present. The birthday is really important and nice day. So I think that we should celebrate each birthday on a large scale. We should be thankful to have been born. Also, the birthday is important day for parents. So I want to thank for my parents.
My parents bought the cake for me on my birthday. When I was a child, my parents also gave me birthday present. In recent years, my parents give me some money instead. But my happiness is their feeling.

By the way, have you hold a birthday party? When I was an elementary student, the party came in. So I will tell you about it easily.
First, I invited my friends at my home in the morning. My friends game me some presents. I opened the presents. Then we had lunch. After that, we played outside. Finally, I ate the birthday cake with my friends. This event was really fun for me. But preparing for the party was busy for my parents.

More over, my friends give the party for me last year. My birthday is November. So it was just event before a year. It was a surprise party. So I was frightened at the party. I was really happy.

Like this, I feel very happy on my birthday every time. I can’t thank you enough. I want to celebrate for my friend’s birthday on a large scale too.

BR 2-01: The Three Little Pigs

I read “The Three Little Pigs”. It is a very old story and interesting. There were three little pigs and a Big Bad Wolf. The oldest pig built a straw house. The second oldest pig built a stick house. Sticks are better than straw. The youngest pig built bricks. Bricks are better than sticks. My favorite house is sticks because the house is strong the best of all. I thought that the youngest pig is wise. The oldest brothers are optimistic pigs. But I like them because they are very cute. The Big Bad Wolf is danger. I was surprised at his breath. It is a marvel that he should blow the house. I thought that I want they to live in friendship.

Kiminitodoke

On September 29, I went to see the movie with chika. That day, I had three classes, Writing Ⅳ, the theory of environment and American literature introduction. After the third period, I walked to the movie theater with chika and kinchan. Chika and I watched “Kiminitodoke”. Then kinchan watched “Akunin”.


By the way, do you know “Kiminitodoke”? It is a comic book and the book became a movie. But I’ve never read the book. So I knew the story for the first time. The story is love story and friendship story. I was so moved. My favorite character is “Kazehaya kun”. He is very kind and so cool. The leading actor is “Haruma Miura”. I like him because his smile is so cool. The story was really interesting.I want to read the comic book next time.

After the movie, we ate a crepe because it was “crepe day”. Do you know about it? All crepe is 290 yen. So the cost was a good buy. We ordered “Ice oimonblan”. It is limited sale and so delicious. The ordinary price is 460 yen. I wanted to eat it once so I was happy. Then we went home. I had a very good time.

My favorite dessert

My favorite dessert is a sesame custard pudding. Have you eaten the custard pudding? It is one of custard pudding, healthy and really delicious. There are many kinds of the custard pudding. For example, milk, strawberry, powdered green tea and so on. I don’t like the normal custard pudding too much because it is so sweet. But the sesame custard pudding’s sweetness is very good. Compare the sesame custard pudding with the normal, the sesame’s color is a dark, tasteless though it may seem. This year, I ate it for the first time. Now I live in a dormitory, the nutritionist cooks my meals. One suppertime, the custard pudding served for dessert. It was new menu. Then I became like it. I’m looking forward to serving for dessert.
